A collection of correspondence, pictures, and church documents for the Evans Family of Wilmore, Kentucky. Spanning from 1870 to 1998, the collection is most useful for insights into the social attitudes and activities of adolescent females during the 1920's and 1930's. Also in this group is a 1917 log of daily notes kept by a nurse during the fatal illness of a third Evans sister. Additionally, Asbury Theological Seminary and Methodist church information is included. Later donations include Sparks family correspondence; Rev. John Wilson and Harriet Hutchison Harris papers, ca. 1915; the letters of Marguerite Harris, who was treasurer of the Woman's Division of Christian Services of the Board of Missions of the Methodist Church, ca. 1954-1957; and the Bertel Miles Sparks papers, ca. 1930-1958. Other names represented are Judge James Cammack, Dr. and Mrs. Herman Lee Donovan, and Dr. and Mrs. Jacob Duncan Farris.
